In any case, I am (mostly) not going to be blogging here much anymore. This is why. And if you have any regard for such things as freedom of speech and the press, I suggest you do likewise.

Is anyone here on Facebook? That is to say, is anyone here who's currently attending Booker T on Facebook?

hey guys. i'm just gonna lay it all out on the table, here, and i will be so incredibly un-offended if mods delete this, because as a mod of other communities, i understand that this can be annoying. but i'm doing it in the name of great journalism.

i'm writing a story for a local paper, and i'm interested in investigating whether or not drug use is as rampant as I hear it is among the more affluent local high school kids in Dallas (st marks, hockaday, highland park, etc). I hear it's mostly prescription abuse, but like i said, i don't know much else. i know plano has the major reputation for being a former center for that kind of thing, but i'm more interested in the kind of casual, party-centered drug use. as i didn't go to school here in Dallas proper, I don't have a lot of connections, so I'm fishing around for anybody who can give me a better idea as to whether or not what i'm hearing is BS.

if you/your siblings/whoever might be able to help me out or point me in some provacative (or, if it is BS, non-provacative) directions, please shoot me an email: flytye37 ((((at)))) yahoo dot com.

And then there's NO MORE FRENCH FOR ME, BITCHES! [dance o' victory]
Meh... French aside, I'm gonna miss you guys. But... I must venture out into the world, off to the barren wastelands of Iowa, to seek my fortune!
Those of you who will be attending the graduation ceremony, please shout out "dragon lady" as I walk across the stage.

If anyone has webmastering, they will understand why I'm posting this pointless post right in the middle of the school day.

Is anybody worried about TAKS? I can't say that I am, but I'm not looking forward to it, either. Ms. Arnold sure makes a big deal out of the open ended questions...maybe last year I was just really naive and didn't understand the gravity of TAKS. Or maybe it really is ridiculously easy.

What gets to me is that we're all so focused on TAKS that, at least for me, I'm never quite prepared for the AP exam. I mean, that exam is hard, and TAKS is such a joke! I went to take the practice AP exam expecting the same breezy nonsense, and, uh, no.

Sorry, just had to rant that out. Everybody watch LOST tonight!
